  Introduction to Ceramics Class – Create Your Own Leaf Platters (Ages 12+) Join local ceramic artist Heather Hansen, owner of Pottery by Five, for a fun and creative ceramics class where you’ll learn to make your own hand-built leaf platter. What You’ll Learn: • The basics of hand-building a platter from rolled clay, including making a leaf impression and forming it into a unique platter shape. • No prior experience is necessary! Heather will guide you through each step with a structured lesson plan. Class Details: 📍 Location: Rubbish Restyled - 12 W. Fulton St, Edgerton, WI  • All materials and tools will be provided. • This is a 2-part class held on Friday, October 11th and Friday, October 18th from 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM. • During the first session, you’ll form your platter. Heather will then dry and fire it in her kiln. • In the second session, you’ll add fine details and color using underglaze techniques. Heather will apply a clear coat and fire the piece again. Your finished leaf platter will be ready for pick-up at Rubbish Restyled on October 23rd.
